J33P are very pleased to announce we will be returning to the awesome Clyro court in 2018. The event will be on Saturday the 31st March and Sunday the 1st April which is Easter weekend so we will run an Easter egg hunt and some Punches.
The offroading area is located on a Wooded hillside in the grounds of the Baskerville Hall Hotel, a grand stately home style manor. There are several main tracks to drive, which will take you from one end of the wood to the other; there are many side tracks to explore new and old if you are willing to drive through some undergrowth!! For those that like winching all day long as there are many steep slopes and trees to negotiate round, for those that like mud we can always offer some mud holes at the top of the site with a few deep water filled tracks to enter and for those who like rock crawling the ever popular ‘river bed’ will be available for you to winch up or drive down going over some 5 foot rocky ledges. For those who like watching the modified vehicles negotiate the tricky stuff why not take a picnic and observe carefully, the skill involved! If the above was enough, we will also be setting out variety of optional punches. The main aim of this event is to have fun and enjoy the terrain no matter what your capability is. We welcome any make or model of 4X4 to join us for the weekend, however we do ask that vehicles are fitted with a minimum of All Terrain tyres and suitable front and rear recovery points are fitted for this event. If you haven’t been any events before, don’t worry about not fitting in or having fun, several regular members will be available to guide you around.
Baskerville Hall Hotel directly to make a booking. We have secured the main field for Camping alongside the main hotel drive way and will be charged at a special rate of £6 per night per person for J33P members, again please contact the hotel directly to book. Alternatively there is the Baskerville Arms Hotel in Clyro village (approximately 2 minutes from the site) or there are many B&B’s located in Hay-on-Wye (approximately 5 minutes from the site).
The price of the event is £55 per vehicle for the weekend or £30 per vehicle for one day only.
The lead organiser for this event is Kevin Pomfrey, please contact Kev at email@example.com for more info.
